Fiverr Started Accepting Bitcoin As Payment

Fiverr, one of it’s kind freelance online marketplace just announced to accept Bitcoin as payment for gags listed site wide. Fiverr is very popular in freelancers who use Fiverr to sell a variety of different services to their customers worldwide. According to an estimate, Fiverr lists more than 1 million services on the site which are priced between $5 and $500. Earlier today, Fiverr announced it’s collaboration with CoinBase, a leading Bitcoin payment processor company.  So now you can buy gigs on Fiverr with Bitcoin.

How it works :

Once you’ve placed your order by clicking the “Order Now” button, select Bitcoin as your payment option. Transactions will be processed through Coinbase, however the Bitcoins can come from any source. Payments will be settled in US dollars.

Almost half of their gigs sold for $5, so bitcoin is perfect for their business model to narrow down PayPal / Credit Card fees which usually amount to 3%. We hope more and more marketplaces will follow fiverr and implement bitcoin to their payment system.
